     Please help us take a stand for Honduras. As an American citizen, living in Honduras I am appalled at the stance of the Obama Administration.  They have stated that Ex-President Mel Zelaya should be restored to power here in Honduras and have placed economic sanctions against one of the poorest countries in the world.  By now everyone knows that Mel Zelaya was removed from power for going against the Honduran Constitution, and blatantly defying a Supreme Court decision as he tried to follow in the footsteps of Hugo Chavez from Venezuela.  The Hondurans should be praised for their actions against Mel Zelaya, and for being strong in their fight to defend Democracy. Viva Honduras! Shame on you America for turning your back, witholding aid and revoking the interim government's visas.

Mr. Michiletti who was appointed interim president is currently holding fast for his country, defending his people until the next elections scheduled for November.  The honduran people simply want to live in peace and value their demoracy and are standing up against the odds.  President Michiletti himself visited our little island on September 13 and is grateful for all of our support.  As one ex-pat told him that she was prouder now of her Honduran Residency than her American Passport, the New President of Honduras thanked her with a hug and a kiss. We support Mr. Michiletti!!
